INGREDIENTS

2 packages of Buldak ramen
100 g enoki mushrooms
100 g canned sweet corn
100 g boiled cocktail shrimp
1 soft-boiled egg
150 g shredded mozzarella cheese
50 ml cream
150 ml water
1 tablespoon chopped chives
1 teaspoon sweet soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon fried onions

METHOD

1. Boil the Ramen:

In a pan over medium-high heat, bring 150 ml of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and let them cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to separate the noodles.

2. Add Spice and Cream:

Once the noodles have softened slightly, stir in the Buldak spice packets. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed. Then, pour in the cream and give it another stir to blend the flavours.

3. Add Mushrooms, Shrimp, and Corn:

Lower the heat to medium-low. Wash and trim the stems of the enoki mushrooms, then tear them into smaller clusters. Arrange the mushrooms, shrimp, and canned sweet corn on top of the ramen.

4. Simmer with Cheese:

Cover the pan with a lid and let the mixture simmer for about 2 minutes. Then, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Replace the lid and continue simmering for another 3 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the flavours to meld together.

5. Final Touches:

Once the cheese has melted, turn off the heat. Garnish the dish with chopped chives, sesame seeds, and fried onions. Gently place the halved soft-boiled egg on top and drizzle with sweet soy sauce.

Tips for Perfect Results:

Soft-Boiled Egg: For a soft-boiled egg, cook it in boiling water for 6-7 minutes, then immediately transfer it to ice water to stop the cooking process.

Customize: Feel free to add extra veggies or swap shrimp for your favourite protein like chicken or tofu.

This cheesy, spicy, and savoury Buldak ramen is a perfect fusion of textures and flavours, creating a dish that’s sure to satisfy your cravings for comfort food with a kick! Enjoy it piping hot and get ready for an explosion of flavours in every bite.
