Pan-Steamed Pike with Creamy Cauliflower Purée
A light, comforting dish — high in protein, gentle on digestion, yet delicious enough for anyone at the table. Balanced flavors, smooth textures, and a bright touch of lemon make this simple recipe feel surprisingly elegant.
Sometimes food isn’t just about flavor — it’s about healing. A close person to me recently had surgery and can no longer eat the way they used to. So this is the fourth recipe in my special diet food series — dishes that are gentle but still full of life.
This pike is steamed with a hint of lemon and fresh herbs, and the cauliflower purée is so soft it almost melts before you chew. It’s the kind of meal that reminds you: comfort can be simple, nourishment can still be beautiful… and deliciousness doesn’t disappear just because the rules change.

Ingredients
• 1 pike
• 2 slices of lemon
• 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
• 1 cauliflower
• Salt to taste
Method
Fish:
Cut pike into smaller pieces. Sprinkle with a little salt.

Drain and move to a bowl.
Add a splash of cooking water, parsley, and salt to taste.
Blend until silky smooth.
Serve:
Plate the creamy cauliflower purée and top with steamed pike.
