INGREDIENTS
4 eggs
Beef jerky to taste
2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon pink peppercorns
Salt to taste
Fresh dill, for garnish
METHOD
1. Boil the Eggs:
Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 9–10 minutes. Transfer immediately to cold water to stop the cooking process. Peel once cool.
2. Prepare the Filling:
Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and gently remove the yolks to a bowl. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt. Mash and mix until the filling becomes smooth and creamy.
3. Assemble the Eggs:
Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
4 Add the Toppings:
Lightly crush the pink peppercorns and sprinkle over the eggs. Break beef jerky into small strips and insert a piece into each deviled egg for a savoury crunch.
5. Garnish and Serve:
Finish with a touch of fresh dill for an herby brightness.
6. Serving Tip
These deviled eggs are perfect as an appetizer, snack, or part of a festive brunch spread. The beef jerky adds a bold, meaty texture, while the pink peppercorns bring a surprising aromatic finish that elevates every bite.
