INGREDIENTS

1 pork tongue
1 onion
5 bay leaves
1 teaspoon of black peppercorns
1 teaspoon of salt
For sauce:
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
2 tablespoons of ground horse-radish

METHOD

1. Prepare the Pork Tongue:

In a pot, combine the pork tongue, onion, bay leaves, black peppercorns, and salt.

Add enough water to fully submerge the tongue and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Boil on low heat for 40-60 minutes until the tongue is tender. Test its doneness by poking it with a knife – if it slides through easily, it’s done.

Remove the tongue from the pot and allow it to cool completely.

Peel off the skin and any unwanted parts, then cut the tongue into thin slices.

2. Create the Zesty Sauce:

In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise and ground horse-radish to create a zesty and flavourful sauce.

3. Serve and Enjoy:

Arrange the thin slices of pork tongue on a plate, drizzle the zesty sauce over them, and get ready to savour a unique and delicious experience that will elevate your taste buds.
